Do you ever wonder where the wool in your sweater or toque come from? Wonder no longer. We'll show you how a sheep barber provides the raw wool that is used to make the clothes that keep us warm.
Portable Biodiesel Plant
Explore this fascinating classroom on wheels providing hands-on learning of biodiesel production. This expedition from canola seed curshing to biodiesel fuel, is amazing. You will also learn about the benefits of biodiesel and resulting by-products, through this interactive display.
Fuel for Gold Program
Come and meet the Olympians from across the country who are training here in Calgary. These top athletes are participating in this subsidized meal program that brings them healthy, flavourful, locally produced foods through a protein-rich and nutritious menu that helps them excel in their chosen sport. These athletes will enlighten you on the connection between agriclture, food and performance through an entertaining and engaging presentation. Alberta Egg Producers, Alberta Beef Producers, Alberta Turkey Producers and Alberta Pork are proud to be involved in the Fuel For Gold program.
Alberta Cafe and the Producers Market
The Alberta Cafe will again be featured during Aggie Days on April 4 & 5 in Hall C of the Roundup Centre. This presentation of locally produced and prepared foods will provide an even greater selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner offerings this year. Don't miss this opportunity to enjoy delicious Alberta-produced 'family friendly' delicacies.
Also featured during Family Fun Days, in conjunction with the Alberta Cafe, will be a mini-market that will provide these local food producers the opportunity to showcase their industry and products. Visitors can take home some exceptional farm fresh food products.

The Calgary Stampede Agriculture Education Committee received the Alberta Agriculture & Rural Development GALA Award - "Building Youth Leadership". It was presented in recognition of the Aggie Days program which this committee produces each year to help urban children and families to learn more about the original sources of their food and how agriculture touches their lives daily.
